  Re: rtlToronto15 January issues

(...) Oh! Oh! And while it's doing that, it has to play the most accurate rendition possible of "What a Girl Wants". Iain (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Couple of Questions

(...) : thumbs up : Sounds good! That's what I was hoping. (...) Will Robert be coming with a robot that starts on it's corner, rotated 45 degrees in all planes? ;) (I still think his "hammer" robot is the scariest robot we've seen yet!) (...) ! I (...)   Re: rtlToronto15 January issues

(...) Or, make it an 'out and back' race, where each robot would have to take a different path on the 'back' portion. JohnG, GMLTC (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto15 January issues

(...) (hope you don't mind a lurker commenting :) Wouldn't you have to mark the "correct" way on each joint, and have different markers for the two sides to follow? One robot would follow the "red" markings, while the other follows the "blue"? That (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Couple of Questions

(...) any brick good or bad, in or out of a robot is counted in the [ shape. this also means that if your robot has bricks in it, and the robot is IN THE PIT, then those Do NOT count.   Re: rtlToronto15 January issues

(...) Do you have any idea of how complex that would be? :) It would look cool (like a Borg cube), but I think altogether impossible. People have enough trouble doing 2-D mazes (micromouse), and you're talking about adding a third dimension. I think (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto15 January issues

(...) Would this mean then that robots would need to be able to lift guidewheels to clear branching points? That's how I read what you say about "grid", that there are tee/Y/cross pipe parts and not just bends. (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Couple of Questions

(...) No, I think we all were okay with the robot containing the bricks as long as the robot was in the [ area. (...) Yeah, I had it on the graphic but not on the rules text. I put it in now. (...) I said so too. I thought 12" was better, but was (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  rtlToronto15 January issues

Hey folks, rtlToronto15: In light of someone calling rtl15 sumo on pipes, I was thinking about turning rtl15 into an actual nonlinear path. Meaning, instead of having only one true path, having the other joints forming an entire grid. Every joint (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Couple of Questions

(...) I asked Chris that same question a few days ago and the aswer is just as you said. The bricks do not have to be expelled from the robot. (...) Anywhere along the back or side walls on your half of the playfield (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Couple of Questions

Hey all, Just a couple of questions with regards to the upcoming competition: a) We're scoring based on white and black blocks, and which side of the playfeild the blocks are on. Can someone confirm that blocks contained inside of a robot still (...) (21 years ago, 25-Aug-03, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
