  new customizable train sets....

Now that they are out...what do you guys think of them...$30 US for the kit, plus you got to add motor, lights (if you desire), other options can bring train engines very high costs....sure it might be fun and look nice but that is a lot of money (...)   Re: steering at Rtl 8

(...) There was an entrant on TLC Robotica that used a rotating shaft of wheels almost like a Killough (Iain!) platform. It was called Hot Wheels and was done by designers at Mattel: (URL) no good photos of the mechanism, but basically the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Dinner Reschedule to Friday May 18th? Okay?

Hi folks, I was wondering if we could schedule the May dinner to one week later, May 18th. Now I know Thursday May 3rd was bad (because people need to work on Friday) but I really wanted to be at a meeting before the train1 event for planning. (...)   steering at Rtl 8

Hi everyone, Just had an idea about the robots at Rtl 8. I really want to see something other than A B skid steering. Sure its simple, but it makes for a choppy 'etch a sketch' look to the robot when its driving. I don't know if this is intended to (...) (23 years ago, 24-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: again...

(...) This has been my holy grail. The manual pumps put out more volume of air per stroke then the little ones. The bad side is that because air compresses so easily, the first 3/4 of the stroke is not very effective, yet is the easiest part of the (...) (23 years ago, 24-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

"David Koudys" <dkoudys@redeemer.on.ca> wrote in message news:GC9q4E.1yJ@lugnet.com... (...) Pneumatic systems can be really fascinating to watch.   Re: again...

(...) My thoughts exactly when I recieved mine! I ordered two just so I could have two air tanks. As fun as it has been fiddling with th pneumatics, I have yet to incororate them into a robot. I had big dreams of a pneumatic block stacker, but it (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  again...

I didn't think it could be done. It's happened a few times before... once when the classic space sets came out for the first time ... who didn't look at the Galaxy Explorer and just 'fall in love with it'. Then when the Mindstorms came out, Loved (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Train1 - Round House

(...) Oh you will my little Nortel friend. You will, MOOoooo HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! <more evil laugh> I wonder how well a section of straight track would burn with "Airburst" powder. <again... evil laugh> BTW. I just got a catalog from Sprectum. Lots of (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: YF23A Progress Photos Up

(...) Done... you want "a good diagram of the BOTTOM of the airplain!" How about an early blueprint direct from the U.S. Air Force! I can get you -any- U.S. military information you desire. Sure, it took a while to locate the specific schematics (...) (23 years ago, 23-Apr-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
