Re: 8475 until a little while ago was seemed to be lacking.....

(...) No, it certainly is not--because it's a really big concern for me how we present ourselves in public as a group. (...) The latter, I think is fine. The former, is a problem. Primarily because it creates a commotion and a distraction. It (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Things I should never do....

(...) Funny you should mention that one - I have one in the cupboard above my head. I originally used it with my Amiga, then as a TV off a VCR. The power button eventually failed and turned out to be some sort of non-standard part that couldn't be (...) (22 years ago, 31-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Pipe Racers Demo Videos

(...) We looked at 22.5 deg joints but it's not so much the angle (well, 22.5 vs 90 yes, but...) as the sudden increase in outer diameter due to the joint. Once you build some flexibility for the increase in diamater due to the fitting, most of the (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.space)

  Re: Pipe Racers Demo Videos

This is so cool! I really look forward to see how this is developed. I imagine it will be quite a trick to get this across the joints. Have you thought about a less extreme joint? 30 deg maybe? (If they make those) I'm including .space in this (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.space)

  Re: Pipe Racers Demo Videos

(...) It's really quite fun--part of it is because it's in 3D vs the usual 2D building we do (ie, wheeled/tracked floor based vehicle) and at that, you have to work at any angle (because the pipe is 1D, but you can approach the joint at 360 (...)   Re: 8475 -- a good buy

(...) This reminds me of a go-cart race I was involved in once. 9 or 10 of us rented the place, and it turns out one person was a maniac - always smashing into people. Hyperaggressive when passing. Annoyed a lot of us. So inevitably, he'd end up (...) (22 years ago, 30-Dec-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
