  Re: Love that Costco

I'll just jump in here with my 2 cents USD worth of wisdom... Costco is a good deal if used sparingly and with some intelligence. As it happens, I am usually the cook of the household (as I am an unusually good cook) and as a consequence I tend to (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Love that Costco

(...) Yup, we're veering off topic, but I think this is a sort of relevant one, since the topic of the 8466 deal involves this Costco business...overall, Costco can give some good deals. But there's some real issues and practices you need to be (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Happy New Year, 2002

Happy New Year, and I want you all to know I spent New Year's Day teaching myself NQC (I can turn a motor on... but not off... yet), and it's all because of you folks. -Greg Hyland (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.org.ca, lugnet.loc.ca)

  Re: Love that Costco

(...) <off topic... sorry!> For the uninformed, Costco can definately be described as a scam. BUT, if you know your prices (or possess a decent amount of common sense -- e.g. who the heck needs 5 litres of mayo?!?!?!!) then there are definate (...)   Re: Love that Costco

(...) Yeah, unfortunately so. Costco is a frickin scam, but one I'm unfortunately addicted to with my family. It's something to do with the 3 pound pies, the giant strudels etc. (...)   Re: Love that Costco

(...) This isn't aimed specifically at Mario, but at Costco members in general... I went to Costco this evening only to find out what I had suspected, but never confirmed: you need a membership. Well, I briefly considered purchasing a membership, (...) (23 years ago, 3-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

So it's the weekend before the end of 2001. I start fiddling with a few pieces of Technic on a Friday night, trying to wrap my mind around a good grabbing mechanism (whilst playing EverQuest, of course ;) ) Come up with a tentative design before I (...)   Re: Love that Costco

(...) Unfortunately I went to all the Costco's in the Hamilton area-- none :( If someone could pick me up one from the GTA, I'll gladly pay for it (as well as a bonus for the picking up bit) at dinner in January. If not, no worries. Dave (23 years ago, 2-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Love that Costco

G'Day Is anyone swinging by Costco in the next few days ? I would love to get one at that price. (maybe a silver champion too, if it is under a hundred bucks.) Cheers Oliver I would love to get one.   Happy New Year, 2002

Hi folks, I wanted to wish everyone here on rtlToronto and Lugnet a happy new year in 2002. Although it's been a pretty bad year overall, it's been a great year for rtlToronto and Lego in the GTA: Not only did we do three Robotics events in 2001, we (...)   Love that Costco

I was at Costco (Hwys. 400 & 7) today to buy a block of cheese, when I noticed the 8466 4x4 SUV has been reduced to $49.77. I quickly presented myself at the returns desk (with receipt in hand, of course) and they cheerfully refunded the difference. (...) (23 years ago, 1-Jan-02, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Sorta-OT: Harry Potter

However, the Harry Potter movie seems to be the exception to this rule. For myself, and many others I've (...) (23 years ago, 30-Dec-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I think Iain's Walmart has a lot more Plano than anyone elses does. I only have the two: The Model 3600: (URL) Model 5324-I can't find a picture of it, but it's like roughly 12x14" with fixed compartments-they're about 1.5 inches deep. (...) Where do you guys get Planos that big? I've been to about 4-5 Wal-Marts in the surrounding area, but the #18 (shallow with tiny compartments) is the largest Plano they had.
