Oh man… Looks like I'm gonna have to do some more leg work. Since York is my University, I'll look for possible halls to stage a large event. For both an rtlToronto gathering, and a possible “(Brick-North)” (kinda like Great White North) In (...) Some thoughts: -on location: would it be cheaper to host in in a suburb or smaller city outside of Toronto? ie Mississauga, Oakville, or the other way, Oshawa, ? (...) I agree that Toronto or SF for that matter is pretty far from Calgary. Considering the drive, it's probably best to get a flight. But as for being just another rtlToronto meeting, I suppose that's true, it's another event in Toronto, probably (...) (...) 'Central' no, but if your looking’ for the best area with the most per-capita AFOL then Toronto would be the choice. Honestly, if a Calgury group was active and capable enough to hold the event I'd support it 100%. But something of this size (...) I've expanded this thread into local.canada in hopes of more Canadians to voice their opinion. Toronto (or anywhere else in Ontario actually) is quite the distance from Calgary, where I am.
