  Re: For this weeks dinner....

OKay, will do. Just out of curiosity, are you bringing a vehicle with you to Train2? I live only a few blocks away, but lack transport. I'd be happy to help you unload, etc., if I could beg a lift for my modules in return :) Or even a hand with them (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  lego city news

It may not entirely be new information, but the Lego Shop @ Home is now accepting (back) orders for the Gas N Wash Express... this may not be too important for some....it means for me that I can possibly begin to finish the big town sets... I need (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Any extra modules? + Quick'n dirty railyard

(...) So far, it sounds like 4 or 5 are coming from Ottawa, and maybe 3 so far from Montreal. Unless Martin is bringing something, the MonLUG'ois are too busy working on their November Train Show and weren't planning to bring any modules. As for us (...)   Any extra modules? + Quick'n dirty railyard

Hi folks, Anyone else bringing modules to train2? I'm counting JeffVW, JeffE, Iain, Ben and myself right now. Also, my plan is to build a narrow quick and dirty railyard, if no one is up to it, mainly because I have these 18 inch wide pieces of (...) (23 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: August 11

Have they booked a reception room? Would they consider a library? Think of it this way.... Marriages (these days) don't seem to last forever. Memories of Train 2 will.... It's not a tough choice. Matthias Jetleb VA3-MWJ (23 years ago, 6-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: modules and update

  Re: Aaargh. L272 IC needed.

(...) One small savings possible is that you do NOT need to jumper the outside rails! (think about it, they run through) So you can get away with a track power connector that connects to just the two inner rails... depending on whether you have more (...)   Track slope issues for Train2

Earlier there was some discussion about locomotives slipping (or possibly magnets disengaging) on steep slopes. My max slopes are as follows: Outer mainline: 1ppt Inner mainline: 2ppt Siding: 3ppt (1 brick per track) Right now I have a Locomotive (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: modules and update

I'll throw in my current status, too: I've got the materials for my 3 & 2-half modules, and they're cut to size, but I haven't assembled them yet.   Re: Aaargh. L272 IC needed.

Having built a number of non-DCC reversing loops, I can tell you it's pretty straightforward to jumper using track power leads, as Larry suggests. It can get pricey if you're buying them from S@H, but I expect most trainheads have more leads and (...) (23 years ago, 17-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
