Track slope issues for Train2

Earlier there was some discussion about locomotives slipping (or
possibly magnets disengaging) on steep slopes.  My max slopes are as
follows:

Outer mainline:  1ppt
Inner mainline:  2ppt
Siding:          3ppt (1 brick per track)

Right now I have a Locomotive (Large, Brown from S@H) pulling a
low-rider carrying 500ml of juice.  It can handle the 3ppt at power
setting 2; all others at power setting 1.  Is there a tougher test I
should do?
