  NXT Rechargable Battery

Does anyone know if the NXT Rechargeable Battery will allow you to leave the AC adapter plugged into the battery while it is connected to the NXT. There by powering the NXT off the AC adapter. Derek (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: ooooh, I wish I had our digital camera here at work...

(...) I have 4-5 of those motors, and I don't use 'em--if you want one, I'll bring it to dinner or the hobby show. When they go, they're gone--can't take 'em apart--apart at least to get it back together and working--at least from my experience :) (...) (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Lego Toast Drawing device.

Found this: (URL) the "Phase 3 message Toast" for a video. It is a computer controlled (custom interface) Lego platform that can burn a message into a piece of bread using a soldering gun mounted above it.. cute :) -Rob A> (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: ooooh, I wish I had our digital camera here at work...

(...) The grey motor in the center of the last photo - any idea how to fix one of them? I've got a battery box and one motor of that vintage but the motor seems seized too... -Rob A> (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) But wait!! I'm at work!! There should be a digital camera floating around here somewhere... (URL) a little movie seeing it in (very noisy) action-- (URL) there you are. Now I just have to build something with it Things of note--the motor (...) (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

ooooh, I wish I had our digital camera here at work...

So I takes the non-functioning 002 motor pack to work today (for no real reason-just for inspiration, basically...) and whilst talking a user through how to take off the caps lock key, I start trying to *carefully* remove the plastic shell and (...)   Re: There's a reason steam engines use a flywheel...

(...) You might consider using the LEGO magnet bricks (URL). They've got a good mass to them, and they're two studs wide. I can think of a couple different ways to fashion them into a round configuration: 1. studs facing in or out - with technic (...) (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Speaking of Canadian

(...) I'm not all pro-TLC. (...) So I do (...) Sure. I totally agree, and my goal was just to inform ("modifier" is not the term originally used by TLC, the right term being "adjective") and not, in any way, to be pedantic or polemic. Regards, (...) In lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, Rob Antonishen wrote: <snip> (...) Thanks for the info, guys! I'll play around with some ideas--aat this time, the design dictates that the flywheel has to be 2 studs wide. I might go with multiple smaller flywheels (...)   Re: Speaking of Canadian

(...) Yes, I have been told by the great Jake McKee that lego should be written in all caps. Derek Oops, that should be "LEGO" (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Speaking of Canadian

(...) I'm all pro-TLC, but a company does not have the right to dictate how people speak. I type LEGO bricks and LEGO creations (for the most part), 'cause I appreciate the brick. That said, it's not grammatically wrong for my nephew to say (or (...) (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Hi, (...) You can check this document : (URL) precisely, I quote : If the LEGO trademark is used at all, it should always be used as an adjective, not as a noun.   Re: Speaking of Canadian

(...) The Lego company asks that we use 'Lego' as a modifier, as in 'Lego piece' or 'Lego set'. Instead of "look at my lego sculpture', 'or sculpture made of Legos' one should say 'look at my sculpture made of Lego parts'. This supposedly will keep (...)   Re: Speaking of Canadian

(...) Sorry. I didn't mean to start a debate. I thought this was black & white. I didn't think there was a grey area. If both are incorrect, is there a 'correct'? Steve (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Speaking of Canadian

(...) Neither is correct. Both are equally incorrect. And it doesn't matter to anybody except those who think that 'Lego' is the only correct way to say it. (18 years ago, 25-Oct-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
