  Re: rtl21 ideas

(...) It's a technically difficult challenge, I agree, You're building the equivalent of a robotic tape silo on wheels--down to the barcode reader to read the tapes and the library mechanism to slot them around. But it's also boring as hell. Even (...) (19 years ago, 8-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtl21 ideas

(...) How about stationary bots that you would "give" real cards to? i.e feed them into a slot when they request a hit and have them scan the pips. might need a standard card deck though. Oor skip the whole building part and just have th RCX's (...) (19 years ago, 8-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  y'know what I miss....

we used to run the same competition consecutively. that way we would get to learn from the first competitoin to build a better 'bot for the next one--we would glean better ways of doing something and become better 'bot builders/programmers in the (...)   Re: Great game - R20

(...) Ya know Kieth, RTL is renowned for being "not the friendliest place on the NET." I said it to you at the game, and I will say it to you on line. UNTIL, you build robots for these games, you have no place to criticize myself OR others. And (...) (19 years ago, 7-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Great game - R20

(...) Multiplayer mayhem. Exactly what we need. (...) Maybe not "in a corner", but your bot still got stuck, somewhere, while getting its battery sucked dry. I don't know who will have the last laugh, but it won't be you. (...) Be my guest. Not that (...) (19 years ago, 6-Mar-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
