  Cybermaster Touch Sensors -

I have used this GREAT page in the past for info on how to hook up 3 Cybermaster Touch Sensors to one RCX port. (URL) uses the "magic" of wiring Lego electric wires and overlapping, and other things to convert the wires from parallel to series. I (...) (19 years ago, 12-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  that transformer robot.

I just saw this cool link.... um, err. I mean, check out the cool robot I made. take note that it is 100% made from lego, and that the voice in the back ground is calum. (URL) 100% made by me and narrated by calum. Chris (19 years ago, 12-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) I'm guessing jlug is hosted by Northstar? They are migrating servers to a new data centre today. J (19 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: OT - JLUG

(...) No clue. It disappeared around 4-5 hours ago I think. Don't think it's much cause for concern though.... I mean it's JLUG! Who wants to read 10 page-long threads with nothing but your posts in them anyways.... Legoswami (19 years ago, 11-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) K, have you met me? Fundamentally, I'm lazy. And the code'll already be written such that the wires don't get twisted. I just wanted to try something different, and it'll give me an excuse to use a soldering iron. I'll stay in the scope of the (...) (19 years ago, 10-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) No, it's not. The wire ring item increases the flexibility of positioning electric components around a model. It allows you to "do more" over the existing Lego wire. To do the same without it, would require more software (as Derek suggests) or (...) (19 years ago, 10-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) Yeap. Pedantic would describe that pretty well. Wire is wire. JB ps: I've got some of this really quick wire of sale, sensor results arrive 1.75nS earlier than other brands ;) (19 years ago, 10-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) Not to be pedantic but it's pedantic. :) There's been one or two examples. Given an average of five entries per each of our 17 contests, there's bound to be some. But they're isolated situations. If you want to do it, go ahead. I will request (...) (19 years ago, 10-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) Hey, I was told it was a full grown dog. Not a pup. I wouldn't hurt a pup. Might send my cat to teach it a thing or two, but I'd never touch it myself :) JB (19 years ago, 10-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) OH NO YOU DON'T!! You're not framing me for this one, Steve! I had chocolate, and I was only working the GPS-dog locator, *not* actually directing John in the drivers seat. Geesh, one simple little puppy removal, and it gets all bent out of (...) (19 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) How about coding your robot so it doesn't twist them up in the first place. Adding the turntable in the wire means your wires won't twist up, which means they won't add tension to the connectors which means they won't pull off the connectors (...)   Re: Project Why? Because I wanna ask!

(...) not to be pendantic, but can I mention that you've allowed non-official sensors in other competitons before? With the premise that the 'bot 'could do it with regular 'LEGO' sensors, but the builder didn't swap 'em in and used the HiTechnic. I (...) (19 years ago, 9-Feb-06, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
