  Re: Hobby Show November

(...) I think, not speaking for Allan but I think he agrees, that the 'doors are wide open'--everyone's invited! No seriously, everyone. Just let either me or Allan know what you wanna bring and when you can be there, and we'll make the room. Last (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

(...) <snip> (...) Hey Dave, Can't give you answers to most of your questions but I would be interested in participating in some form, most likely only to the extent of bringing a few MOCs and helping out during the show. That's assuming of course (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on)

  Hobby Show November

Hello All! I know I haven't been around much. Work sucks that way sometimes. Anyway, no time for dwelling. So here's the scoop. We've attended 2 hobby shows thus far and both have been very successful. We're invited back but this time there's (...) (19 years ago, 21-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on) !

On Wed, July 20, 2005 9:42 am, Calum Tsang said: (...) Actually, re-reading this, I do have one change to suggest, that should make it a tiny bit more interesting to watch. If the robots start (as listed) side-by-side, they will move, what about 1 (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: HACKED by AKINCILAR --OT-- and harsh language

(...) While true that you wouldn't know if you were hacked, that's no different than windows, is it? The average user wouldn't know if their XP box is a zombie now in a DDoS, would they? The difference, as I see it, is that on a Linux desktop, (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto19: Balance of Power Tentative Ruleset

(...) Well, I can't really think of anything that would really need regulation. Weight...well, there's only so much you can make out of Lego. You can make it a game of Sumo if you want, you can try something altogether crazy and do something else. (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto19: Balance of Power Tentative Ruleset

(...) eh - I first read that as "The robot does not need to be on its side" as in on ITS side, rather than upright. you know....like....sideways.. Now I understand :) so......no other restrictions other than the 'must fit between the pivot and 12" (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: HACKED by AKINCILAR --OT-- and harsh language

(...) I would worry even more with Linux or something else--unless you really know what's going on, it's very hard for the average user to know what the hell is going on underneath that layer. You can put lipstick on the pig with KDE or Gnome or (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: HACKED by AKINCILAR --OT-- and harsh language

(...) Sadly, as firefox gets more popular, people will find more holes in it (even though it'll still be so much fewer than IE), and write viruses for it too. As long as you're on windows, you're should worry about such things. And when you move off (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: The schedule, the schedule, what what the schedule

(...) I haven't checked with the show organizers yet, but I notice that LEGO is again mentioned on their website this year, so I strongly suspect that we are invited back. I'm really excited about getting back to building and then attending this (...) (19 years ago, 20-Jul-05, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
