Re: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto17 Drag Racing Tentative Ruleset

(...) What's wrong with allowing a purely mechanical solution? It would be MUCH easier to build an RCX controlled robot, but if someone can make one that's completely mechanical, wouldn't that be cool to see? Isn't that the point? (20 years ago, 27-Sep-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

RE: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto17 Drag Racing Tentative Ruleset

(...) I agree Derek. I just raised the question to avoid the possibility of a simple mechanical solution, as you have suggested :-) At one point, I thought about the problem of driving straight and detecting when the bot is just about to go over the (...) (...) No, it doesn't have to physically turn around. I guess I shouldn't imply that. (...) Guys? Calum (20 years ago, 27-Sep-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

RE: [rtlToronto] rtlToronto17 Drag Racing Tentative Ruleset

Two questions come to mind.... 1. Does the bot have to turn around at the end of the tables before coming back? Or can it simply reverse and come back? If the reverse isn't challenging enough, then adding the turn around requirement might add some (...) (20 years ago, 25-Sep-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: where have all the good guys gone?

(...) Not quite a graph, but it will have to do. After all, you can never be too safe when working with the Light Green Booby Traps: (URL) speaking of Booby-Traps, how about "rtl-19: Sudden Death"? (URL) can see this game being a blast, excuse the (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

due to the fact that I find using the web browser awkward, this is my THIRD attempt at typing this reply...... Steve said: (...) its always been: "what the game??" (...)
