This Guy (was Re: Next rtlToronto Timing)

(...) Dave, no need to worry about that guy. I looked up in the RTL archives, and from what I can remember this "bruce" did not even enter a Project X robot. So really, he's a nobody. Chris. I'm install'n da sink to-nite bay-bee !!! (20 years ago, 31-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Next rtlToronto Timing

(...) I agree Rob. Drag racing is totally uninspiring! Although, I don’t think we can really blame drag racing...I think it goes back to Connect 4. Now whose idea was that??? Bruce (20 years ago, 31-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Next rtlToronto Timing

(...) I'm in. I have always wanted to try smaller blocks. (...) Uggh. I doubt block stacking needs any more complexity. Even after three runs at this competition, there were very few successful robots. Rob (rtl has been dead lately... Are we all (...) (20 years ago, 31-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Next rtlToronto Timing

(...) I suspect I'm more welcome by some, than by others. (...) Actually, I was trying to suggest in addition to the above scoring, add bonus points for stacking like colors together. So, if you stack three blocks, 1 black, 1 white, and another (...) (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Next rtlToronto Timing

(...) Yeah, Dave getting around to fixing anything... shyeah right... I'd have to take out all the blocks and LEGO stuff out of the arena and actually work on it. That's not gonna happen--I mean, what would the LEGO webcam'bot do in the meantime?? (...) (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Canadian Building Photo Resource

Was googling for images on the legislative buildings, looking for MicroScale inspiration, when I came across the John Bland Archive: (URL) -Rob A> (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: Next rtlToronto Timing

(...) Crap, now I'm getting interested too. Can't say I'll do it, that will depend on when its held, but it's been too long since I build a robot. A lot more interesting then drag racers. Derek (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Next rtlToronto Timing

(...) How do you build a half-size block? (...) Oh, right... BS/2 :) (...) I have a bit of bad news. Now, I'm interested. (...) Another option is to give bonus points for consecutive blocks of the same color. That would allow people to stack any (...) (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

I'm throwing this out there without consulting either Chris or Calum, but if there's an interest, and I get approval from the head honchos, I'd like to run a concurrent event at the next rtlT robot event-- Half Size (...)   Next rtlToronto Timing

Hey guys, When do you want to have the next rtlToronto contest (tentatively stated as drag racing)? November we have Hobby Show and potentially a Christmas train show. We also have FLL Ontario, which I should be hearing more about soon. Calum (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Because on topic is unusual

I'm wondering where I could get the hood logo for a Saturn car. A friend lost her's and I'd like to replace it. Obviously a dealership is a place to start, but what other options are there. Still need to figure out the exact model of the car so I (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: 10027 Train Engine Shed

(...) Loved putting mine together. It was a thoroughly enjoyable build and now sits on my train layout. I dunno if I want to dump the old yellow train service shed that I built, but it's tempting to go with just the 10027... Dave K (20 years ago, 27-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)
