Was googling for images on the legislative buildings, looking for MicroScale inspiration, when I came across the John Bland Archive: (URL) -Rob A> (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, FTX)

  Re: Next rtlToronto Timing

(...) Crap, now I'm getting interested too. Can't say I'll do it, that will depend on when its held, but it's been too long since I build a robot. A lot more interesting then drag racers. Derek (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Pick a time and place. I'm throwing this out there without consulting either Chris or Calum, but if there's an interest, and I get approval from the head honchos, I'd like to run a concurrent event at the next rtlT robot event-- Half Size (...) (...) Being a Downtown city boy, I don't know where any of these "Scrap Yards" you speak of are. Any suggestions of were I might go? How do they work? Do they just let you run around with a screw driver pull off what you like then they tell you how (...) (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Next rtlToronto Timing

Hey guys, When do you want to have the next rtlToronto contest (tentatively stated as drag racing)? November we have Hobby Show and potentially a Christmas train show. We also have FLL Ontario, which I should be hearing more about soon. Calum (20 years ago, 30-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Because on topic is unusual

(...) when an ex girlfriend needed the hood logo for her BMW I went to a scrap yard. Cost me $5. I had to remove it myself.... but thats what a flat head screwdriver is for.   Because on topic is unusual

I'm wondering where I could get the hood logo for a Saturn car. A friend lost her's and I'd like to replace it. Obviously a dealership is a place to start, but what other options are there. Still need to figure out the exact model of the car so I (...) (20 years ago, 28-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: 10027 Train Engine Shed

(...) Loved putting mine together. It was a thoroughly enjoyable build and now sits on my train layout. I dunno if I want to dump the old yellow train service shed that I built, but it's tempting to go with just the 10027... Dave K (20 years ago, 27-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  10027 Train Engine Shed

I bought this one at BrickFest and while I never really seem to find great deals on regular Lego at the DC Outlet event, I did get one of these 10027 Train Engine Sheds because I really wanted to check it out. I'm glad I did--this is an amazing set. (...) (20 years ago, 27-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: Seeking RCX

(...) The Mastermind Toys in Oakville had one the last time I was there... I would imagine that their stores in Toronto would have them too, or at least be able to get one. -Greg (20 years ago, 27-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Seeking RCX

G'Day I have convinced a friend of mine that he NEEDS to get a MindStorms(tm) set, has anyone seen any recently in the GTA (preferably west north/west end) at any stores?   I know it's twice in the same month...

But I'd like to do it... We've been invited (again) to the Christmas Train show at the International Centre on the 20 and 21st of November. That's 2 weeks after the Hobby Show (at, I believe, the same venue) I'm for doing both shows with the same (...) (20 years ago, 23-Aug-04, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: Surprise finds at Fairview Mall

I was in the Bricks and Blocks outlet in St. Jacobs last week and they had some of these sets in stock as well. The metroliner was $120 and I think the C3P0/R2 combo was $40. They are also had a number of the "my own train" cars as well the caboose (...) (20 years ago, 22-Aug-04, to lugnet.market.shopping, lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto, lugnet.loc.ca.on.tor, FTX)

Hobby Show Nov 5-7 in Toronto, Ontario
