  Re: rtlToronto8 and light sensors

(...) Something based around at what point of the game you're in (ie, defensive vs offensive) and game state where blocks might be. (...) I'm gonna run a few tests with block detection at that level. Right after I stop splitting 1x2s with too much (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: so ya wanna go DCC

(...) Can that kind take an off switch so that you can just pass through current/voltage and run on non DCC layouts? I'm thinking that would be handy during the transition period! (shows how much actual research I have done on this topic lately) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

Re: so ya wanna go DCC

(...) George's Trains in Toronto was out of stock of the DN140, which has been holding us up so far...if your local hobby shop has stock, I wouldn't mind buying a few myself. Calum (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

(...) Ohhhh boy. Chris, you've got problems :) If only VLL had loop constructs, then I might think of buying it back from you :) VJR (URL) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto8 and light sensors

(...) Hrm, maybe I should think about a movement algorithm more complex than "drive around randomly" :) (...) Sounds like some people are picking up blocks, and some people are just pushing around blocks instead. VJR (URL) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto8 and light sensors

(...) I should be able to bring a robot, but mine isn't coming together as nicely as I would like. I have a really slick three wheel driving base built, but the gathering/sorting mechanism has been tough to build. My original idea resulted in about (...)   Re: beverages

(...) Hi Larry, I wasn't able to make it to train1 (wedding) but I must say I was impressed by the pictures and I didn't understand the animosity (I guess the gist of them was if you can't compliment then don't talk) of some recent posts. Anyway, if (...) (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: rtlToronto8 and light sensors

(...) ALL I can say on this subject is that -Whatever I bring, has sucked up ALL the light sensors I own.- BUT if you need more sensors, all you have to do is this: CALL 905-841-0600 and ask for Customer Service then tell Angela you want 1 or 2 of (...)   Re: rtlToronto8 and light sensors

(...) Unfortunately I can't make it. Someone got me hooked on trains so I ripped my 'bot apart to build bridges and gantrys and stuff for the next train show. Yeah, whatever!   Re: rtlToronto8 and light sensors

(...) Mine is 75% complete. It should join the competition if it doesn't jam all the time. (...) 1 RCX & 1 light sensor. (...) I use the same angled sensor method. Once my bot see a block it stop and eat the block so that's not an issue for me. (23 years ago, 29-May-01, to lugnet.org.ca.rtltoronto)

  Re: beverages

(...) Well, if you ever make it to Ottawa, that is while I'm still here, I'd be happy to get together and buy you a beverage. I wish my job allowed for more travel, but our training budget is zilch.
