Don't know how I got the idea, but I was browsing LUGNET and
got the idea to look up who were the oldest posters on LUGNET
from ParLUGment. Interesting stuff.
Here's their first posts to LUGNET, first posts to .ott, and
rec.toys.lego/alt.toys.lego just for fun :
Ka-On - 18 Sep 1999 (rtl - 4 Sep 1997):

http://news.lugnet.com/loc/ca/on/ott/?n=8
(Wow, post number 8 in .technic and .ott!!!!!)

Karl - never (rtl - 13 May 2003):
(Karl has never posted to LUGNET?!?)
http://groups.google.ca/groups?selm=xyawa.32603%24bV6.300083%40weber.videotron.net
Funny, when I search google's rtl archive, I get my first post as
18 Mar 1999, but I remember reading rtl as early as my college days.
My first newsgroup post was 29 May 1995, and I'm sure it was around
this time I started reading rec.toys.lego, so I guess I just never
posted in all those years.
