Has any of them contacted anyone of us (NALUG) yet?  They might be
able to assist with Calgarty.  I posted a challenge for locals to
host a train show on the Calgary Lugnet site quite some time ago,
without any replies!

That one guy was a definite AFOL, but he hasn't shown up - strange.

That's the second time you've mentioned a "Calgary LUGNet", but
I have no idea what you're refering to.  Is it an RTL type thing?

Supertrain 2001 - Michel can't do this, but is willing to provide
the tables & some track & stuff for our use.  We've been invited,
and IIRC, someone (Steve?) is in e-mail contact with them.  Supertrain
is in Calgary, in February - this means we're moving the whole shebang
about 4 hours south in probably crappy weather.  I'm willing to commit
to the show, but only if there's going to be at least 4 people there
for the weekend (not necessarily all 4, all weekend - but for setup
and teardown & enough to allow some shift rotation).  Is anyone else
willing & able to commit to Supertrain?

Agreed on local Calgary support - where do the (couple of?) Calgary
"NALugrs" stand on this - I haven't heard.  (I'll CC this to the list.)

It seems like Kevin is the key - If he and John can make it, then we've
got James' four.  Otherwise it may just be me, myself, and I which will
make it a lot more work.  It also means I would be dependent on the
organizers for tables, but I'd still like to make a go of it.  I need
an excuse to visit my sister anyway.  8-)

This will be your first Christmas with your son, James - it'll be great,
not silly.  Besides, there's still six weeks afterwards to get ready.  :-)

Chris - You haven't really missed anything on discussion of layouts.
I just haven't gotten around to looking a Michel's latest two and
posting them for general viewing.  (I'll try to today.)

Joint NALUG-VLC show? (was: Re: Supertrain - I plan to go)

This is a long shot, but hey, I'll try anything... Would anyone in VLC be interested in helping us with a layout at the Supertrain show in Calgary (Feb 17-18)? NALUG has been invited, but not all of us can attend. The real need just one more person (...)
