  60% off Sith&Pod

According to the flyer I have infront of me, TRU has the "Sith&PodPack" <set:7131>&<set:7151> for US$17 (after tax) which is better than 60% off the "grey slope parts pack" That last draft was fun - who wants to have a Draft2000 Ver.2 at James' on (...) The GMLTC have reported using aquarium tubing as a substitute for the Lego pneumatic tubing. Michel MagnanI (...) (24 years ago, 16-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.technic)

(...) Perhaps you might want to try looking at your nearest automotive store... windshield-washer-pump tubing might be suitable, it's available in a couple different diameters (but, alas, only in black typically)... or try an industrial/commercial (...)   Pneumatic Parts! (was Re: Split of 5218 (was Re: Lego US S@H))

Well, just like my beloved <set:5235>, the various pneumatic parts (5099, 5107, 5108, 5109, 5116, 5117) are no longer available. In addition, the air tank has never - AFAIK - been available separately. Until now... :-) Unless someone else steps up (...)   Re: Latest Larger Layout

Hello James, I agree that building space is a bit scarce, if Chris agrees, we could always cut out some sidings. I'll let you two fight it out! Many of the road plates are just there for show, you could replace them with buildings. Another idea is (...) (24 years ago, 10-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

Pneum Tubing (was Re: Split of 5218 (was Re: Lego US S@H))

I wonder where Lego gets the tubing from. I doubt they make it themselves. I bet there is some supplier that will sell you 100' roll of it for $10. I have seen many close equivalents, but has anyone found a really good match that is easy to order (...) (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug, lugnet.org.au, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Latest Larger Layout

(...) I like it as well; my only concern is that it doesn't appear to have much room for buildings. That might be a misperception on my part. <stare> <think> <stare> <think> Probably is. I do see lots of baseplate that doesn't have track running (...) (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: Latest Larger Layout

(...) My concern isn't shorts - I mentally checked that myself. My concern is that there will be power to that section more often than one might want. It being a connector between two separately powered loops is what makes it special. Although, (...) (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: Latest Larger Layout

Chris, once your train tracks start to extend outside your spare room, you will start to place several power cables throughout the layout, to minimize dead spots behind switches, and to maintain fairly even power levels. I thought the connecting (...) (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)

  Re: Latest Larger Layout

Bringing the monorail down to earth, so to speak, (One pun deserves another!) minimizes the chance we will hit the track when reaching over for something. Please feel free to find a better way to fit a wye! I thought that little isolated section (...) (24 years ago, 9-Nov-00, to lugnet.org.ca.nalug)
