  Re: new LUG

(...) That was pretty much what I had in mind...but I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything I needed to do to avoid stepping on anyone's toes in the other state LUG's. Thanks for all your advice, and be on the lookout for a new LUG! Tim (25 years ago, 26-Jul-01, to lugnet.org)

  Re: new LUG

(...) Well I don't think there is a "proper procedure" to starting a LUG. First thing I would do would be to post in the relevant .loc.us.fl groups to try and drum up interest. Thats what we (NELUG) did. Our first meeting was at my house with 5 (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.org)

  Re: new LUG

(...) I'm doing this right now myself. Basically, I've found another AFOL here on California's Central Coast, and we've decided it is time to begin. It's just that simple, as far as I'm concerned. We're hashing out a name, and a logo. From there, (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.org)

  Re: new LUG

(...) I don't know the exact amount of people you need to "officially" call yourselves a lug, but when you have like 3 or 4 people, write an e-mail to Todd Lehman, and see if he will give you a newsgroup. But that is only "formal" recognition of the (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.org)

  new LUG

Okay, I've got a question to all those out there...what's the proper procedure for starting a new LUG? I reside in Florida, in Tallahassee. For those of you unfamiliar with the layout of Florida, that's quite a long distance from Orlando, Tampa, and (...) (25 years ago, 25-Jul-01, to lugnet.org)

  Indianapolis, Indiana LUGgers?

I moved to Indianapolis a few months ago and was wondering if there are any other potential LUGgers in the area. Contact me via e-mail at eric@northcomp.com or post to this group. Eric (25 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.loc.us.in, lugnet.loc.us.in.ind, lugnet.org)

  L.U.C.N.Y. - New Org

Here is the information for the LUG so it can be added to the map and given its own newsgroup: Name: LUCNY Stands for: Lego Users of Central New York URL: (URL) From Utica to Rochester, From the Lake to the Border. (roughly) If you need anything (...) (25 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org)

  PLUG officially founded - report

Hi! This afternoon I have met two other lugneteers here in Porto in order to found a new LEGO club in Portugal. It was a very profitable meeting, and this is a brief report. First of all, we have decided to call it PLUG (Portuguese Lego Users (...) (25 years ago, 19-Jul-01, to lugnet.org, lugnet.announce, lugnet.loc.pt, lugnet.loc.eu, lugnet.loc.br)

  Re: Brickfest, Westfest, Whateverfest

In lugnet.events, Eric Kingsley writes: <much good stuff snipped> (...) Or, "Ambassadors for the brick, with an emphasis on trains". I know the GMLTC spends *much* more time creating buildings, scenery, vehicles, etc., than we do creating trains. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.events, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org)

  Re: Brickfest, Westfest, Whateverfest

I guess we will just have to agree to disagree on a few points I guess... (...) First I can only speek from experiance and that experiance is with NELUG. I agree some LUGs may not be as focused as others but you could say the same for LTCs I think. (...) (25 years ago, 18-Jul-01, to lugnet.events, lugnet.trains.org, lugnet.org)
