Well I guess now is as good a time as ever to bring this up...
I have had some personal issues/concerns about the webring for some time now
but have not been able to think of an appropriate time or place to bring it up.
The LEGO ring is great in and of itself what I have a problem with is
www.webring.org and how easy it is to get to the site from the ring.
To put it bluntly there are some rather unsavory rings hosted but
www.webring.org which are NOT in line with what I think the LEGO ring should be
associated with. If it weren't so easy to get to them from the LEGO ring I
probably wouldn't have a problem with it but the fact that it is so easy and
because of the nature of some of the rings I wonder how much we should be
associated with www.webring.org . I personally would feel much better if
another solution were developed and were hosted by LUGNET *before* the ring
moves.
I realize that I may be paranoid here and that I may be rocking the ship a bit
but I just think the forces that be should really think about this and realize
that such a move could potentially make it very easy to get to some very
off-color sites almost directly from LUGNET.

Personally I hope that Yahoo can clean up the Webring site. Yah there logo is
everywhere but thats there right. I know that its one of the reasons I have
left my origional GeoCities site to rot but, if you can live with the adds I
guess GeoCities is often one of the easier and better choices for free space.
Please don't take this personally. I like the LEGO webring and the theory
behind it I just don't like the site that runs the ring ( www.webring.org )
Just my $.02 take it for what its worth.
