Hey everybody!
Todd and I have been discussing moving the Lego Maniac's Webring to LUGNET
for quite some time.  I'm just letting everyone know a little ahead of time,
that in the relative near future (no timeline set), the site will be moving
over
there.  With this initial move, nothing fundamentally will be changing.

Members of the ring will still be able to access their account at
www.webring.org, I will continue to be Ringmaster, and membership will
continue as it always has.

This has been in the idea phase for a while, but what pushed me to announce
now was an email I received last night from Webring.  Unfortunately, i
appears that Yahoo has gobbled up Webring and will be forcing their identity
upon them.  So, I figured now would be as good a  time as any to let you all
know.

The current Ring homepage is at http://www.zacktron.com/ring/

(...) Oh, I use Junkbuster occasionally; it's turned off now due to some really old issues with something I can't quite remember just yet. I'm not very worried about the banners themselves; I'm more concerned with Yahoo's advertising policy than I (...) (24 years ago, 11-Aug-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
