Re: LUGWORLD map pages 1st try at some pages.

Eric, Ok, i have the canadian data on my computer right now. I'll send it to you this evening. The data is in the public domain and no citation is neccessary. I will have the European data shortly. Austrailia/etc will take a bit longer but I should (...) (26 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: LUGWORLD map pages 1st try at some pages.

Eric, The new site looks great, I think the world view really adds a lot to the map. The only thing I was thinking of was maybe adding names to the states, not really for the benefit of those in the US, but for others out side of the states. I know (...) (26 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: LUGWORLD map pages 1st try at some pages.

(...) Chris, This would be great as long as you are sure there are no copyright issues involved in publishing the maps you have. At the moment I just want to get things down to a state/province level for the larger contries (US, Canada, Australia (...) (26 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.org)

Eric, I can get high detail maps(country --> state/province/etc --> county --> census block). Tell me which ones and what graphic format you need and I will get them to you. I can also plot cities on the map. -chris (26 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: LUGWORLD map pages 1st try at some pages.

(...) I certainly didn't meant to suggest that you should. I mean, individuals registering names for clubs is one thing... I wouldn't say that Lego should fund those. But a site that directs people to local clubs... that seems to me to be something (...) (26 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.org)

(...) Yup there in the pipeline so to speek along with the Canadian clubs and the US LTCs. (...) Seeing the fiasco of www.legodirect.com I wouldn't expect them to jump right on that. It might be a good idea to register it although I don't know if it (...) (26 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.org)

Re: LUGWORLD map pages 1st try at some pages.

(...) Wow, Eric, this is really nice! Since you expanded it to include the world, though, don't forget ITLUG (Italy) and De Bouwesteen (errr... Netherlands? Denmark?). Maybe someone should register LUGWorld. And by someone I mean Lego. eric (26 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.org)

Apathy? (was: WAMALUG's GATS Layout was a huge success!)

Why has there been such apathy towards Wamalug's train shows? In the past month, there have been a total of nine messages from non-members about our setups. There has been absolutly no discussion, no critiques, and very little praise. Do you all (...)
