  Military members need our help

My local country radio station (yes country) here in Saint Louis has a morning radio personality named Cornbread, that is hosting an adopt a soldier or submit a soldier to be adopted program. The service Member stays on the list until he or she is (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, FTX)

Re: CSS Problem, looking for ideas.

(...) heheheh. What a funny statement :) (Sorry, don't know much about CSS, but I know that it probably renders as it should in Gecko and has problems in IE :) FUT .geek, since I'm not really adding any value to the publish thread. (Doh! am I going (...) (20 years ago, 11-Jan-05, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  fibblesnork.com???

A couple of days ago, I stumbled across this site: (URL) this a valid site? Or do I have some trojan? It looks suspiscious to me. If I click the link, I get 'search for: lego, legos, bionicle and 'jewish dating' (???) amongst other things. IIRC, (...)   Before/after pics of the Tsunami affected areas.

Not really sure where to post this link... this site has some fascinating/horrifying satellite images before/after the Tsunami struck. These are satellite images, so what you are seeing is the changed landscape... it does not show people, just land, (...) (20 years ago, 9-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Pre Classic Space has a home on the web...

(...) Hmm. Good point Lar. Clarification: I deal in lego and cash. Your choice. Oh, and I'm still not cheap. Kyle (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, FTX)

Re: Pre Classic Space has a home on the web...

(...) Price can be set in terms of barterable items too... 3 oxen for 5 jars of olive oil, and so forth. I've traded LEGO for services in the past.... I have no idea where to FUT that to! (20 years ago, 4-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, FTX)

Re: Pre Classic Space has a home on the web...

(...) Traditionally, price entails the exchange of currency. Currency is usually represented by what you call "cold hard cash", although these days, many transactions can be made only using little itty bitty bits of data (Credit cards, paypal, etc) (...)   Re: Using Firefox on Shop at Home website

(cut some stuff away, thanks for the tip!) (...) It appears to now be under "Developer Tools" for whatever reason... Hopet that helps (20 years ago, 3-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.geek, FTX)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) According to this page about right click menus: (URL) sites may disable right click menus and disable your ability to select text. To restore control see Favelet/Bookmarklet: Script Killer, disables all JavaScript code in a web page. (...) (20 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) Now I remember what it was... you had to hit enter WHILE the cursor and focus were IN the entry box. Just typing some number then going elsewhere on the screen then hitting enter didn't work. I do sincerely remember having that not work for me (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) Yeah that's the way I remember it too. And apparently so does history: (URL) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) Na, it was the other way round. I used to always hit enter, go away and come back and wonder why there were still no results, then remember I needed to have pressed submit. Used to drive me CRAZY. No way would I forget that. I could swear that (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) Did Peeron even have that problem? I thought we had it the other way around - you had to hit enter, because I didn't have a submit button there. Breaking 'enter' takes effort. Omitting the 'submit' button is just forgetful. (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) You mean like on Peeron.com/inv in the search box before you changed it? I thought that was a feature, not a break... but ok, maybe there's no way around this. I'll post the harder one when I have some time. (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) Right. But I agree with Steve - I was checking on mapquest, so I have to assume MB is doing something that breaks it specifically. It also breaks the form - hitting 'enter' doesn't submit it, I had to click on the 'submit' button. (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) I don't want to blame anyone, my question was "how do I get FF to do X" rather than "FF won't do X, it's broken". I really want to switch but this feature requires me to use IE so I'm 98% FF using not 100%, if you see what I mean. (and I know, (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Using Firefox (printing clickable images)

(...) I'd blame mapblast, rather than firefox. On mapquest, I get the normal context menu for images. On mapblast, I get the short menu you listed (above). :/ Steve (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
