(...) Do you save the rendered images permanently, or just cache them while a single user is there? I'll have to go test this right now myself. -John Van (25 years ago, 18-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: DAT Explorer v. 0.6.1

(...) It's running on FreeBSD 3.2-RELEASE on a dual PII 333. The bandwidth for the explorer is in the noise compared to the scans. The CPU however could be a problem if several people render at once.   A UNIX directory/path question

OK, here's one that I cant figure out but is probably elementary to you guys.   Re: t7po autopick

I've been mulling over the fact that the term "t7po" is awfully close to "C3P0". And you're using "auto" here. Do you some form of bot (other than an automatic tendency to find typos, that is) or script? Assuming access to a decent spell- and (...) (25 years ago, 16-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Oh; wasn't paying attention. If you've actually got an unused partition, skip the dd stuff, and just mkswap it. (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Datsville overview

(...) You can do it this way: dd if=/dev/zero of=swapfile bs=1024 count=768000 mkswap -v1 swapfile sync swapon swapfile Note that on a 2.0 series kernel, the max size of a swap space is 128M. You'll need something 2.2 or so. (25 years ago, 15-Sep-99, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
