Re: So you think you know your stuff?

(...) I just rebooted my system into Win98, installed the Flash 5 player into Netscape, and the swf tells me I don't have Flash 5. So I guess I'll try the exe version... (24 years ago, 20-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Upgrading to Windows 2000 Professional

Any Win32 based software package should function great. IE ML-Cad. However LDraw most likely will not run due to the DOS mode that will make direct hardware calls. I'm currently running Windows 2000 on another computer and was playing with ML-Cad on (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Upgrading to Windows 2000 Professional

I'm about to upgrade my operating system from Win95 to Win2K. Has anyone done this yet, and are there issues with the common LCAD software that I ought to be aware of? Wouldn't want to be stuck without my virtual bricks. Thanks, Heather -- Heather (...) (24 years ago, 19-Dec-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.off-topic.geek)

So you think you know your stuff?

As a bit of a laugh (and to get people to use my company's web site) the company I run the web site for has written a Flash application that gives you 60 seconds to answer as many techie (and some non-techie) questions as possible, and there are a (...)   Re: Perl5 regexen: exponential backtracking behavior when mixing \n and \s

(...) Awesome. Was that Perl 5.6? So it's smart enough to compile \n\s into a DFA instead of an NDFA? Wow. --Todd (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Re: Windows and new hard drive

(...) Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think that's related. I can still disconnect the new drive, and the SCSI CD ROM becomes available as E: like before upon the next bootup. So I think the drivers are all there. Fredrik (24 years ago, 17-Dec-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Perl5 regexen: exponential backtracking behavior when mixing \n and \s
