As a bit of a laugh (and to get people to use my company's web site) the
company I run the web site for has written a Flash application that gives
you 60 seconds to answer as many techie (and some non-techie) questions as
possible, and there are a load of prizes up for grabs for the most
knowledgeable. I know this sounds like a bit of a spam, but it's really just
to see if anyone wants to try their hand at beating me (yes, the cartoon
character in the app is modelled on myself!) at their techie know-how. You
can get the Flash app at http://computer-manuals.co.uk/ChallengeDan/
The scores on the site are real - we didn't fake them! In fact my previous
best score of 50 questions answered correctly out of 50 in 60 seconds has
been cleared off the table as we added some more non-techie questions to the
game. Oh yeah, if you're wondering about the question about how I recently
had to go to hospital, the correct answer really is true!!! And that was
done at home, too!!!
Just to keep things LEGO-ish (although this is an off-topic group) I'm about
50% of the way through creating the .dat for Darth Maul's head - anyone got
an equation for calcuating the Z co-ord of a point in a plane given the X
and Y? Having a hell of a time getting the red part to wrap onto the head
planes just right :(
