  HTML 4.0

does anyone here make sure their webpages are HTML 4.0 compliant (lugnet isn't, btw ;) )? is it worth the time/effort? using style sheets sounds like a really neat idea, but it isn't fun converting a lot of poorly created sites. my new employer has (...) (...) ick! URL, no way, u-r-l :) I say both "scsi" and S-C-S-I... the one that gets to me is "edu" (ed-you) instead of e-d-u :) (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Bad Choices

(...) AFAIK, U-R-L ("Yoo Arr Ell") is the right way -- but people sometimes say "url" (like "duke of url" ;-) if they want to be cutesey or funny. I've never heard anyone say "url" unless they were ready to duck. :-) --Todd (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) BTW... after talking to some people on the phone yesterday, I realized that I might be saying URL the wrong way... I say it U-R-L but some people say "url" (rhymes with girl)... Or do they? :-) -Shiri (24 years ago, 23-Jun-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
