  Re: Pointless

(...) If you want to *really* have fun, name at least 2 or 3 pets "Schitzo". :-, Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Pointless

(...) Hmmm. If you need to completely re-organize your desktop in order to fix one application, then the application is definitely broken. However, the Win32 GUI does this kind of thing too -- you can launch any shortcut (or just ones on in the (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) How could these poor fish not have names? Forever going through life not knowing who they are... (note: almost all of my fish have names, vicious ones... like Fang and Killer and Schitzo) :) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

Want to make my own WebTV / mp3 player

Well, after putting together my own 850 (Celeron 566 oc'ed) and upgrading Rachael's machine to the same thing, I am left with a couple of 300a's that run fine at 450. So I'm thinking of putting together a couple of cheap boxes - one Linux to play (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Pointless

(...) Well, this kind of easter egg I don't mind -- it certainly doesn't take up much space. It's not a full flight simulator or anything. PS there has been a fishcam easteregg since way before version 4.0, despite what their page claims. Maybe the (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Digital Camera question.

I don't remember the details right bow, but you can work with USB under win95. I had an old gigabyte pentium TX motherboard with USB, before the win98 thing, and the software CD that came with the board had an update which made regular win95 ready (...) Just install Litestep, and the keyboard is your oyster! I've got the-Windows-key-and-...e-number-4 assigned to bring up www.lugnet.com. (All my letter combinations are used up for other things!) [www.litestep.net] Seth. (...) (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Pointless

Ya know, I would *love* to have this feature in a user-configurable fashion. Like, being able to assign a keystroke to load the home page, for example. Or CTRL-ALT-L to bring up LUGNET, and CTRL-ALT-B to bring up Brickshelf, etc. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Pointless

(...) Hmmm. I didn't request this easter egg when I downloaded Netscape. Looks like another pro-open-source argument. Beautiful humuhumunukunuku apua'a, though. Cheers, - jsproat (24 years ago, 17-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Digital Camera question.

So I went and bought the Canon S20, only to find out (when I got home) that Winblows 95 wasn't compatible with it... only Windows 98 (some stupid USB-support issue, or something). I took it to my dads house (whom has win98) and everyting worked (...) (24 years ago, 16-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: Installing sshd?

(...) It's the control file ("specification", I suppose) for making an RPM package. It's pretty common in Linux distros these days (Red Hat, Mandrake, SuSE, TurboLinux, Caldera, Yellow Dog, LinuxPPC, off the top of my head.... and of course BU (...)
