  Re: LugnetReader

(...) guess we have that now - FUT to lugnet.admin.nntp :) (heh, and first test to see if the fut works correctly :) (...) well, the spooler right now just sits there all the time, getting messages once a minute, and stores them on disk in a spool (...)   New newsgroup lugnet.admin.nntp

A new group/list for NNTP[1]-related issues has just been created. Probably, you'll just want to ignore it unless you're writing a streaming news client or having difficulties getting your newsreader to do something. CHARTER/PURPOSE ===...=== -> (...)   Re: LugnetReader

(...) Oooh, good question. We really need some place to discuss it, esp. (right now) the spooler -> client API. (...) How releasable is your spooler? Good enough to let me work with it for my client? (...) I'll beta-test that for ya, Dan. :-, I'm (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

(...) nod, of course. Once again, sorry - A typo in the wrong place might not crash the program, just make it not work as you want it. :/ (...)   LugnetReader

(...) Yep, thanks! BTW, it was noticeable from some NNTP-readers, too. I don't read through the web interface either. Is there a LUGNET discussion of LugnetReader somewhere? Will it be just for reading Lugnet (with Lugnet-specific hooks thrown in) (...) (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: X server for windows

(...) Even then, I've got some bones to pick. :) The bit about the client server terminology, for example -- sure, it's a bit confusing, but their explanation is worse. (24 years ago, 2-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)

  Re: X server for windows

Putting streaming news client on Sourceforge

...But I gotta come up with a better (i.e. shorter) name for it! :-, Actually, my biggest hurdle is getting CVS to talk to Sourceforge's CVS server over SSH. With other servers, I could tunnel port 2401 to the CVS server, then point the CVS client (...) (24 years ago, 1-May-00, to lugnet.off-topic.geek)
