I think it must have been a small tank. :-) (and therefore one that wouldn't
do well in a wreck with a bigger tank, but I digress) IIRC, an M1A1 gets
about 3 gallons (of Jet A to run its turbines, I think it is) per mile...
++Lar (who drives a 5 speed 1.9L SOHC Stratus that gets 34 MPG on the
highway, believe it or not, unless I'm in more of a hurry than usual)
