Lehitra'ot po (I hope),

It finally just sunk in and hit me where I've heard that word before! --
funny how you read something and your subconscious works on it for sometimes
days and then comes up with an answer.

In 2nd grade music class, we learned a song that went something like this:

shalom haberim
shalom haberim
shaloooom shaloooom
lehitra'ot, lehitra'ot
shaloooom shaaalooom

and there might have been more words, but that's the part I remember.

Does anyone know what it means?  (Sorry if I've got it wrong -- it's been
a quarter of a century since I've heard it.)

(...) Ah, that brings back some memories. Something to do with hello (welcome) and let there be peace? I learnt it about Grade 2 as well, different country and all :) I'm sure Shiri or someone else can provide an exact translation! I only remember (...)
