Two things: First, it seems that your underwear is a little crispy this
morning. Second, I agree. off-topic.fun is a much better location for the
responses (all of them) that have nothing to do with trading. Thanks. Sorry
for perpetuating that thread to the extent that I did so.
Now, that stuff that Selçuk wrote is all right on. Part of what attracts me to
the Turks (Turkeys as we call them at home - and it is a fitting personality
descriptor) is that as a recently introduced show breed, they're still
vigorous, unlike any breed that has been inbred for many generations.
Also of note, there is a permanent exhibit at the Ankara zoo of angoras, but
there, only the white ones count. Any with any color are turned out into the
street as muts.
The CFA accepts any color classification and the mother of our kittens is
Calico and the father is an amber-eyed white. I'm pretty sure this has to do
with our rate of production of blue-eyed white cats that can hear. It is
common for blue-eyed whites (of many breeds) to be deaf. And more
interestingly, you can have odd-eyed whites with one amber and one blue eye,
and the ear on the side of the head with the blue eye will be deaf, but the
other won't.
No one responded even remotely interested in a trade so this is probably
futile, but if anyone is interested, I can email photographs. Next year I'll
try with show chickens, see if that receives more interest ;-)

| (...) Hmm. Can they hold their beer? I suspect my fraternity may be interested. After 50 years of Barn Party, there aren't any farmers even remotely close to Houghton that are willing to lend chickens to the brothers any more. So if your chickens (...)
