Well, okay, they really weren't too bad, and any breed that disqualifies the
cobby body can't be all bad!  :-)

Yeah, TAs are the best of the long hairs, not that I'm biassed or anything.
But they don't have an undercoat like Persians so their hair is silky and
drapey instead of puffy.  And they have a much nicer body than the
more traditional long hairs.

I'm glad I actually looked rather than just continue to presume they were
simply a stock variation of Persian - rather nice, in fact.  I'm just not a
Persian fan, even if you disguise it as a Himalayan.


As a side note, this kitten would be suitable for showing in premiership if
anyone had interest in that.

But the two cats, dog and bird that I have are enough!

How can that be enough?  What kind of bird?

Because my I grew up with a mother that collected pets and wheras I like 'em, I
prefer that they live in my house, not the other way around.  :-)

Congo African Gray (Arrrr, I be carrying the pirate thing too far).  Just paint
the tail on the Lego "gray parrot/falcon" red and ya got it!

Actually Turkish Angora is a local breed which completely natural from the beginning (it had a long history) whereas, Persians are the products of selective breeding (Turkish Angora and Afghan Long Hair, AFAIK).
