Personally, I think that anyone who would respond to
such an
email as it was would be taking a big chance.

A chance of what?
I get tons of spam as is, even though I'm not active in ebay (being registered
to hotmail makes it bad enough.). Why would the person sending this (say it is
a spam) go out of her way to put "the sunshine house" in the subject line?
Obviously, she knew something about lego. In fact, the email I got seemed to
be a reply to my post in .scala about the sunshine house, 'cause the mail
said: "Wow, what a deal! What is LS@H and how do you order from it?"
So I don't see your reasoning. What chance was I taking?

I assumed that she was talking about the deal I had posted about, and replied.
I must agree that I'm not a fan of hurried, unsigned letters, but just because
a person was in a hurry or was too lazy to write a formal letter, doesn't mean
he/she were trying to spam you.
Just 2 cents...

Whoops, slight mistake... The letter I received WAS signed. I guess that would
make it a less-plausible spam, but not always. I sometimes get spams that
start out "Hi, my name is ___. A mutual friend told me about you" or some sort
of trash. So I try not to judge from first impression.
