  Re: Announcing LEGO Ambassadors

(snip) (...) Kelly, ya never know when the Lego Ambassadors will need a website... ;) Scott Lyttle (who loves the Ambassador idea, but really doesn't have the time to put into it...) (20 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Announcing LEGO Ambassadors

(...) *blushes* OK, perhaps not "suck" at MOCs, but I'm definitely not anywhere near the same league as the big boys and girls around here. Nosebleed section, that's me. I do find it interesting that I like building things about things that you use (...) (20 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Announcing LEGO Ambassadors

(...) Well, I'm not Mr. Barile, but I play him on TV... If that's true, Kelly (and I sorta doubt it is), then you show the perfect example of being able to do amazing things for the community and not be a great builder. Jake --- Jake McKee Community (...)   Re: Announcing LEGO Ambassadors

(...) Except me. I suck. Really. Ask anybody. Why do you think I stick with building LEGO web sites instead of LEGO MOCs? Kelly (I see Steve Barile's fingers itching to reply. Bring it on!) (20 years ago, 7-Jan-05, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: The making of Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) Hey, thanks for that link, I had not seen your page before Tim (20 years ago, 2-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: The making of Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) Yes, December 1984, 20 years ago, wow! Tim (20 years ago, 2-Jan-05, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: The making of Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) Late '84? I think. It might have been as late as 1986 (Jan/Feb), but no later than June 1986, because that is when MRC ceased publishing. James Powell (20 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: The making of Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) says that "maybe" there is a bit of a market for Thomas themed toys.. :) Thanks for sharing! (20 years ago, 31-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: The making of Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) I also wanted to thank you for posting that, I enjoyed the article very much for the inside peek at the process, well as it bringing fond memories of my children and I watching the show faithfully each week. My own Thomas tribute: (URL) (...) (20 years ago, 30-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: The making of Thomas the Tank Engine

(...) <snip> COOL! Thanks for posting that, Tim! I found it to be quite fascinating. I had always guessed that the scale for the engines used in those videos was "O" (similar in size to LEGO trains), but they obviously are even bigger. I would love (...)   Re: Missed opportunities (was: A Community Problem)

(...) Wow Larry, you missed a perfect opportunity for a footnote! (...) And a sub-footnote opportunity missed no less! That's not like you at all! Wink. ROSCO (20 years ago, 24-Dec-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Announcing Classic-Space Forums

A few people recently have IM'd me or emailed me asking what I meant by my post below. I thought I should come out and express bluntly my thoughts. Basically people are taking personal offense at the creation of CSF. And I think that is simply (...) (20 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Announcing Classic-Space Forums

(...) That's certainly a nice idealistic way of looking at it.... (...) Unfortunately the vast majority ARE posting less here. Way, way, WAY less. I guess most spacers really did want different forum software and rules that badly. I have to say it (...) (20 years ago, 22-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Announcing Classic-Space Forums

some snippage Voicing constructive criticism is ok... BUT (...) I care. And I think it's an inappropriate witch hunt (insomuch as it is a witch hunt, it's not completely one). Those giving criticism should check out CSF and see if they like it. If (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Announcing Classic-Space Forums

(...) Not that anyone cares regarding the CSF witch hunt that seems to be going on here, but this rule has been removed. You can all go back to whining about other trivial things that have no bearing on you if you don't plan on joining CSF. Adrian (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Announcing Classic-Space Forums

(...) Classic-Castle.com brags about bringing in new people of whatever age and maturity level. Many of the people CC has brought in are in the over 30 category. Also, many of the new people CC has are indeed in the 15-19 range, but NONE (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Announcing Classic-Space Forums

(...) So, I would never get to see the overall shape of the ship that this builder tried to post? Or get to see that use of the spoked wheels which, to my embarrassment, had actually eluded me all this time? Right. Thanks for clearing that up. (...) (...)   Re: Announcing Classic-Space Forums

(...) I totally agree. Frankly, if I'm going to be missing out on a MOC announcement because a moderator was presumptuous enough to delete it, then I'll be sticking to the forum where that doesn't happen. If this is a misunderstanding of the CSF (...) (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

  Re: Announcing Classic-Space Forums

(...) I already waste too much time in front of a computer screen - two forums is one too many for me. Now, how to choose...? (...) Hoookay. Well, that makes it a no-brainer, really, doesn't it? Cheers, (URL) Sci-Fi LEGO> (20 years ago, 21-Dec-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)
