  Re: Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanies

(...) Actually, that's all I got... It's been years since I've convinced anyone to play INWO. Even bought my wife some Polish cards (for some nasty Trademark fun). I still have all my decks, but they're just gathering dust. It's like Munchkin. I (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanies

(...) There certainly is a lot to be said for that. But I think that in the early game you can't really do 2 attacks anyway so I think the rearrange is worth a lot. I do admit that it's often quite hard to get the last alignment or two. BTW my (...) (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Aluminum Foil Deflector Beanies

(...) My father-in-law was head of upper atmospheric research at JPL - how do you think we got the OMCL in place? :-) Yes, OMCL no longer has an effect on wind shear, but that is only because Jason counter-corrects for that (Bavarian Illuminati have (...) (...) Okay, that was four words. One word: Fnord. I'd explain that, but then I'd have to kill you. -->Bruce<-- Grand Poobah, Bavarian Illuminati (20 years ago, 24-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Top Ten Revelations about the upcoming Star Wars DVD

(...) Don't know. She didn't go into details. (...) Actually, gaff tape isn't quite as sticky as many other tapes (part of the reason why it releases without leaving residue behind...unlike its evil cousin, duct tape). I've had strips hanging from (...) (20 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: Top Ten Revelations about the upcoming Star Wars DVD

(...) <snip> Oww! I'm hoping there was some sort of article of clothing between her skin and the gaff tape. There's nothing quite like the painful feeling of gaff tape ripping off your skin. Of course, with the possible exception of that piece of (...) (20 years ago, 22-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: Top Ten Revelations about the upcoming Star Wars DVD

(...) Okay, I'm watching the main Empire of Dreams documentary on disk 4 right now, and she does address this during one of her interview clips. Yes, they used gaffers tape. Yes, she did jokingly suggest holding a lottery to see who got to rip the (...) (20 years ago, 21-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun, FTX)

Re: Top Ten Revelations about the upcoming Star Wars DVD

(...) She said it during the interview, but I have to agree with you, I got the impression from her tone that it didn't bother her at all. (...) I can't speak for anyone else but it sounds more painful than prurient, if they were using gaffer's (...) (20 years ago, 21-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Top Ten Revelations about the upcoming Star Wars DVD

(...) Yeah I didn't get the impression that she minded folks getting a "view", I think she originally had suggested that the crew hold a lottery to see who could "de-tape" her...LOL (20 years ago, 21-Sep-04, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Re: Top Ten Revelations about the upcoming Star Wars DVD

(...) I actually have to wonder if that really bothered her. Reportedly, she was ordered by Lucas to tape herself down so she wouldn't jiggle when she walked in Ep4, and by way of protest she would let a different crew member de-tape her after each (...)   Re: Top Ten Revelations about the upcoming Star Wars DVD

(...) Hmm... How shall I write this in a family friendly way? Way back in 1983 I read an article (in Rolling Stone, I believe) in which Ms. Fisher lamented that she would move one way but the costume would move another. If memory serves, she was (...)   Re: Lavender Brick Society
