There’s nothing quite like the painful feeling of gaff tape ripping off your
skin. Of course, with the possible exception of that piece of skin being
covered with leg hairs, or used to be anyway.

Actually, gaff tape isn’t quite as sticky as many other tapes (part of the
reason why it releases without leaving residue behind...unlike its evil cousin,
duct tape). I’ve had strips hanging from my hands and arms before during my
theatre years, and as long as you don’t stick it on a patch of hair. Also,
human skin exudes oil and sweat, so it might release easier after a long day on
the set under 1-10k watt lights.
