Regards from the Bad Boy of Brunswick,

Thanks Larry,

for giving this exhaustive description of my lived hobby. I think you caught
nearly all facets of me being an hardcore AFOL.

What did you do to earn THAT title? :D

One could speculate, I suppose, that it might have something to do with

- an April Fool's prank in which a nonexistent historic set was presented,
causing quite a stir among historians...
- another April Fool's prank in which an entire line of highly desirable
future sets was presented, causing quite a stir among fans salivating for
new 9V stuff...
- choosing to use BEER wagons rather than one of the other cars in his
record attempts... perhaps it's something about beer?

They have been named beer waggons by some of the other AFOLs around. I always
counted them as wine cars. And some of my mocs where built under the influence
of at least 10 waggon loads of good California red wine....  ;-)

- Encouraging Torsten to go gallivanting about the countryside (taking me to
used LEGO stores) to the point of missing an important flight (his job at
the time included meeting VW flights at the Braunschweig/Brunswick airport
to hand out company cars), and tearing back to the airport at 225 kph on a 2
lane...

And Torsten has still that job and those Skoda Diesel 'racing cars'.
While speaking of that nice day do not forget to mention the face of the sales
lady at TRU while buying all their stock of Treasure Raiders 2879 sets (for
ca. 5 bucks each!).

- Mutilation of parts in really clever ways
- Incitement of others to do the same
- Complaining about Legends releases

I stopped that since a while because TLC knows about that now. But there IS a
possible second point of view (maybe a basically European one)....

- Conspiracy to win ISSC by dint of really awesome models, and inciting
others to do the same
- and various other "high crimes and misdemeanors" of the LEGO persuasion.

Or maybe it has something to do with his girlfriend, I dunno.

?! I do not know myself - but I feel no guilt. I only know which Lego sets she
really prefers: the ones I sell...

We should all aspire to be as bad as Ben. :-) Bad Boys have more fun.

hahaha....

In fact: I have fun in my hobby. And I love if I can share this fun with
others. And Lugnet is a big part of all this fun thing - often by far better
than the 1000steine.

Leg Godt!

Ben
