Re: Lord of the Rings movie

Note: the second time through I listened to the music more. It's good too. Darn it, it has been in my head all day. You can hear the entire album in QuickTime: (URL) movies cost 30% less in the Midwest... (25 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

  Re: Fellowship on Film

Here's something I don't understand. WHY would anyone take children under the age of 10 to see this film. First off, it's rated PG-13. Secondly, it's 3 hours long. Finally, the story isn't suitable for younger viewers anymore than the Matrix was. (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

If you google the phrase "Spooky Bible Stories"...

  Re: Fellowship on Film

(...) Yes, kids younger than 10 should start reading the book. By the time they finish they will have no problem with the film. (It is PG-13.) (...) No need to duck and run..... though grinning is expected. :) Notice that I said "big LEGO fan". Does that make me a BLF? Is there a "LEGO Acronyms for Dummies" book that I could buy? I'm really struggling with some of these. But 'big' is about (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

Sometimes being vocal about the hobby pays off

Hey everyone - I just stopped by my boss's house to pick up a check, and she handed me a couple presents. The boxes were quite big. A quick look identified them as either a 3033 or a Creator tub, and a basic tub (studs on the top). Turns out I got a (...) (25 years ago, 21-Dec-01, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)
