Yeah, sorry about that, my reaction was.. heavy handed.
I don't really give two spits about any particular local candidate. I'm not
solidly leaning in any other particular direction, but truly a Federal Reform
government scares the screaming bejeezus outta me. It's All Bad in my
estimation.
For some reason I've always liked Joe Who (don't know why, just always have - I
don't think it's a party thing, Maulrooooney always felt like a crook), but the
PC's are way too under-recovered to help any vote in that direction do any good
- they're mostly a majority-splitter at the moment. Likely not even as powerful
as the Bloc (another spine tingler to be sure).
Socialism is good, but only in _moderation_, which kills a vote in that
direction.
That pretty much leaves the big L as the logical choice to counter the big R.
I'm not jumping up and down about that either. While the L's have been up to
some shady shenanigans (they ain't the only ones) over their term to date,
everyone else's two-faced poodle-barking ("call an election you old buzzard!" -
election gets called - "why'd you call a wasteful election you old buzzard!")
isn't much better.
Better the devil you know than the devil you don't.

You say you're scared that Day will "impose" his (...) (24 years ago, 27-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
