I think Matt Martin was perfectly fine in trying a public method of
communicating, and of making his fellow hobbyists aware that there might be an
issue. While I might have quibbled a bit with the exact wording, we can't all
be at the same level of eloquence and I didn't think it was over the top.

On the other hand, this statement is also OK. It provides a useful counterpoint
and adds additional information.
I've been on all sides of this situation at one time or another... I've posted
about things of my own gone missing, I've piped up when I knew solid traders
were having temporary communication trouble, I've worked behind the scenes to
try to get large debts resolved on behalf of traders that were having trouble,
I've posted that I myself might be delayed in processing things (for instance,
I'm currently 2 weeks behind on Factoring transactions, just got back from
Berlin and plan to try to do some of them this weekend) and yes, I've even been
prodded to get off the stick and get something done. I owe an apology to Derick
B, as he and I have an unresolved transaction right now that is quite old.
So where I am going with this is that I see everyone so far as having been
reasonable. So why did I post at all, then? So that newbies know that this is a
not uncommon occurance and so that they might gain experience on what can be
done. Sellers SHOULD notify of delays, but when they don't, politely worded
inquiries are a good thing, and answers by others that have knowledge, positive
OR negative, are also a good thing, because they add valuable information that
we otherwise might not have available to us.
Be honest, be open, stick to the facts and we'll all be able to help each other
get through rough patches together.
