Re: Ahh infinity, how I love ye! Was Re: George Bush has legitimised terrorism

(...) Okay, I've thought about it more. And I've decided that my example is 100% faulty. Even if such a theoretical perfect sphere could be said to exist in the real universe, there'd be no way for us to verify it, because we'd have no way to verify (...)   need an illustrator for MOC

About 20 months ago, just as the presidential campaign was beginning, my husband, an environmental science teacher, conjured up a story ... his first in decades. It came to him as a way to cast historical events in a new light. His first strategy (...) (16 years ago, 5-Nov-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Problems in the Chinese toy industry

As I couldn't find any better place to put this (and its about the toy business in general, not about clones), I'll post it here... This is a general review of the toy manufacturing industry in China, and how it is being affected by the current (...) (16 years ago, 2-Nov-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Right place for questions about LUGNET configurations

(...) Thanks, I'm on my way! Jetro (16 years ago, 24-Oct-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Right place for questions about LUGNET configurations

(...) You might try LUGNET.ADMIN, which is where I've asked questions about my account in the past. Such as "why don't I get a dollar every time someone reads one of my posts?" Seriously, though--that's probably the best place to start asking. Dave! (16 years ago, 24-Oct-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Right place for questions about LUGNET configurations

I'm looking for the right place to ask a couple of questions about the configuration of my account, including mailing issues. Is this the right place? (16 years ago, 23-Oct-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Looking for old Convention Programs

(...) It's not way too complicated, once you get the hang of it. I know I had difficulties early on, but with patient guidance from community leaders, I got to know the ropes. I would encourage you to persevere - it makes for a better LUGNET (...) (16 years ago, 19-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

Re: Looking for old Convention Programs

(...) This sounds way too complicated for a toy forum. I probably should just refrain from posting in the future to avoid more headaches. That sounds much easier. :^) (16 years ago, 18-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Looking for old Convention Programs

(...) When changing the newsgroup within a thread, it's good practice to make the post in both the old and the new newsgroup, with the FUT going (only) to the new. This crossposting, apparently, makes it much easier for those using newsreaders to (...) (16 years ago, 18-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Looking for old Convention Programs

(...) Additionally, it's my understanding that the preferred spelling is "goofball." And I won't even get into "your just..." Dave! (16 years ago, 18-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: Looking for old Convention Programs

(...) snipped (...) Um, is this sentence meant to be constructive criticism or are you trolling? EDIT: Reposted to correct newsgroup (16 years ago, 17-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: 6030 MISB lost in Slovakia

(...) I just list my email and rarely do I get spam. Perhaps it is due to sbcglobal's spam controls, but at one time I was getting 30 or so a day. Now one a week. So I don't think that lugnet is a good fishing pond for spamers. Besides I am not (...) (16 years ago, 3-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: 6030 MISB lost in Slovakia

(...) I imagine similar thoughts during those past discussions regarding MOCs of spacecraft shaped like Nazi symbols, weak landing gears and whether spaceships have to have wings in space :^) (16 years ago, 3-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: 6030 MISB lost in Slovakia

(...) Oh ok I stand corrected. It's been so long since I joined legnet that I don't remember doing anything (anti-spamish) special when entering my email addy. Maybe the system changed between the time when I signed up and it's current (...) (16 years ago, 3-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: 6030 MISB lost on planet Earth ... somewhere

Re: 6030 MISB lost in Slovakia

(...) In which case, you should probably set the FUT to .o-t.d. No? Cheers Richie Dulin CO Legeaux (16 years ago, 3-Jun-08, to lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade, lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: 6030 MISB lost on planet Earth ... somewhere

My intent was as someone stated, a "cautionary tale" and a request for others to keep a lookout ... admittedly a desperate request because the person possessing the lost set could also read the post and remove the identifying sticker. I hoped that (...) (16 years ago, 3-Jun-08, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: 6030 MISB lost in Slovakia

(...) Who would've thought such a minor issue would encourage us to examine our morals so closely? (...) If malice was the motive. It could've just been stupidity. Al (16 years ago, 3-Jun-08, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)
