Full movie, I can see (again: camcorder, DVD recorder, stack of blank DVDs), but
was it the full DVD? Did it include any of the special features or menu
screens?

Maybe. Maybe not. It depends on how much of the concept-to-box production goes
on in Chinese factories. If they only ever produce bricks, individual parts
could be copied, but complete set designs would still remain in controlled
hands. The big question is whether they'd move just part production or whether
all of the packaging processes would take place there as well. If the boxes and
instruction books are produced there, even if they're held off until the last
minute, counterfieters would still have a significant chunk of time available to
produce knock-offs while the first batch of sets are still being shipped to
their end destinations. Granted, they'd probably never be able to get
knock-offs into far away markets before the official versions, but the companies
that do this sort of thing rarely ever concentrate on areas like North America
or Western Europe anyways. They mostly seem to go after markets in Asia and
South America (maybe Africa as well, but I've never heard of any showing up
there) where the populace is poor but not destitute.
