No, but I don’t need to. I didn’t say anything about other forms of racism, I merely observe that antisemitism is alive and kicking.

So why make an issue of the “current worldwide antisemitism” when there are bigger fish to fry?

Can I assume we a agree that:
  1. Other forms of racism are more prevalent than anti-Semitism?
  2. The notion of a “Jewish state” is undemocratic?
  3. WW2 does not justify Israel’s current actions?

What happened in WW2 does not justify the actions of nationalist (not Jews) in Israel today; just like SH invading Q8 does not justify a war 10+ years later!

But that’s not what you were referring to. The question is whether Jewish concerns about Israel remaining a Jewish state are valid. I think they are. That the methods used by Israel to achieve this are questionable, does not invalidate that.

There was another interesting piece about Israel’s demographic problem in the Guardian yesterday:

Israel’s demographic timebomb: Jews risk becoming a minority in their own land. They should face up to this unpalatable truth

Israeli nationalists (not Jews) break international law, oppresses a people, murder civilians and then acts like a petulant child when criticised. WW2 justifies none of that.

All of this seems to be par for the course for the region. If you’re going to criticise the Israelis, why not apply the same standards to the entire Middle East?

Because Israel is at the root of so many of those problems? Because Israel gets so much support from the “West”. Because Israel wants to join the EU? Because Israel is a belligerent nation led by a war criminal?
