Well, it SORT of is a religious holiday. Not everyone that celebrates at that time of year (winter solstice) does so for religious reasons. We don't. Also I don't think Terry was objecting per se, just saying he didn't plan to participate in the contest. Which is his perogative, and mine. In reviewing some of the blurbage (but not all so I could be wrong) I note that it didn't seem to say "all depictions must be positive under *any* possible interpretation" so I'm hoping that Brendan *will* decide to participate... He's got the chops and if he doesn't make the finals we'll know that the judging process is all a putup job... :-) note FUT to o-t.debate
