Re: Poll: Majority Palestinians See Israel's Elimination as Goal —Mike Petrucelli
(...) calling (...) name (...) Ok let me clarify. No one that was living on the land ever called it Palestine or called themselves Palestinians. The current group of 'Arab refugees' have adopted the name I assume to reinforce their 'ancestoral' ties (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Poll: Majority Palestinians See Israel's Elimination as Goal —Scott Arthur
(...) This is interesting. Let's just assume you are correct for a moment. Two sceneries to consider: 1948 A "Palestinian" family has been living on a plot of land for 3 years. The Israel army happens along and bulldozes the family’s house in their (...) (22 years ago, 18-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

(...) called (...) the (...) many (...) there (...) Palestine (...) A History lesson is obviously needed here. After World War 2 the newly founded United Nations decided to create a Jewish State so they would never be subjected to a holocaust again. (...)         Re: Poll: Majority Palestinians See Israel's Elimination as Goal —Scott Arthur
(...) Do you mean revisionist history? ;-) (...) Do have any data which proves this? I would be interested to see it as it would mean that this is all wrong: Estimated Population of Palestine 1870-1946 Arabs (%) Jews (%) Total 1870 367,224 (98%) (...)          Re: Poll: Majority Palestinians See Israel's Elimination as Goal —Larry Pieniazek
In lugnet.off-topic.debate, Mike Petrucelli writes: <snip> Mike: Leaving aside the propriety of quoting large sections of email that's written in a style that pretty clearly suggests who the author was (to longtime readers) after the author asked (...)          Re: Poll: Majority Palestinians See Israel's Elimination as Goal —Mike Petrucelli
(...) Well the author did not actually ask for anonymity, and I really did not expect anyone to guess. (Though I guess I should know better. My mistake, it won't happen again.) (...) Yeah I screwed that up too. Um, how do I cancel the message? (...) (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Poll: Majority Palestinians See Israel's Elimination as Goal —Larry Pieniazek
(...) No one was casting any aspersions for what was an honest mistake. I wouldn't worry about it much... How to cancel depends on how you posted. If you used a newsreader you should be able to cancel from that reader, see your docs. If you used the (...) (22 years ago, 24-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Poll: Majority Palestinians See Israel's Elimination as Goal —Scott Arthur
(...) I read a couple of quotes the other day that I thought made a great postscript to this post: In early '48 it was questioned why Israel had no land in the Jerusalem area, this was Ben-Gurion's answer: "The war will give us the land. The concept (...) (22 years ago, 25-Jun-02, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)
