  Re: From Harry Browne

(...) I think there's a big difference between an act of self defense, and chasing someone down after the fact. Vigilante justice should not be tolerated. I know that it is a very fine line, but my feeling is that once a perpetrator is leaving the (...) (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Rumor control?

(...) Oh, you know--that durned Clinton and his gas tax are so bad that the honest working man can't even drive his own car anymore! Dave! (24 years ago, 18-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Lets keep politics out of Lego

Gerry, Ok, I'm not going to debate that there are several oddities that have sprung up that seem to help both candidtaes in all kinds of ways. I also agree that after the final recount, Bush will be the winner. But I think it is silly to say that (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Lets keep politics out of Lego

(...) Pat, The way this whole thing got started was someone took something fun that I do for my Brickbay store personal. The original comment about being crazy was nothing more then a joke.   Re: From Harry Browne

(...) Hi Frank, When you say that I approve of "the death pnealty" it sounds like you're talking about a court-ordered penalty. I don't believe that courts should pass out death. Ever. Really! One of my stances is this: Government (at all, I mean as (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Boy sues (and wins) for NOT being aborted

(...) Well, sort of. A statement of certitude differs from an expression of opinion in that certitude implies fact or truth. Had you said "I think that even though this boy..." it would have expressed your opinion and eliminated any need for (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Lets keep politics out of Lego

Ok, I'd like to express a few things here. 1. Gerry your original post was in bad taste, have a enough sense to admit it. 2. The first state wide recount was not initiated by The democratic party, it was started as a result of Florida state law. 3. (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Lets keep politics out of Lego

(...) We would never resort to nuclear weapons - The Republic of Texas is gonna give 'em a good ol' fashioned butt-whipping. Which reminds me of a funny Letterman Top-10 List that I recall from many years ago: The Number One Reason Why Las Vegas is (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Lets keep politics out of Lego

(...) Oh? Why not? My mother-in-law is a Texan. The defense rests triumphantly! :-) I didn't insult the state, I just insulted the politicians. Feel free to substitute whatever state you like - the key word is "politician". There are four kind of (...) (24 years ago, 17-Nov-00, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: Boy sues (and wins) for NOT being aborted

(...) Kinda like what you just did with that statement, eh? Liberals and conservatives alike will often say whatever they think it will take to "win" the point or at least get the goat of the other guy. Both sides indulge in name-calling and (...)
