  Re: LEGO Ambassadors Cycle 2

(...) How many of those 30-40 Million people applied to be LEGO Ambassadors? Knowing the people who've made this selection, having met them in person (Jake, Steve, Jan), I seriously disagree with your characterization of them ignoring such a wide (...)   Re: LEGO Factory Terms Of Service

(...) I believe that I tried to point out the relativism of my usage of the word 'severe.' My sister is a Muslim, and my understanding above is directly related to my experience of how she expresses her faith in Islam. We often talk about the (...)   Re: Gas prices in USA

(...) Whereas I fundamentally agree with your words, the 'election platform' of the current president was that, if need be, he'd go 'toe to toe' with OPEC to keep gas prices low. As well, many republicans whined bitterly and blamed Bubba when he was (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Gas prices in USA

(...) regular is $3-3.50 a gallon in the chicago area. it really depends on the distance from downtown chicago but i've seen it as high as 3.69 for regular. thankfully i have a good bicycle. i've been using it alot. the only thing i can say is if (...)   Re: LEGO Factory Terms Of Service

Sorry... had to jump in. (...) Just let me point out here that 'severeity' is something relative. I don't see any problem with the 'severeity' that you refer to. It's their religion, and it's up to them how they should practice it, or not practice (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Re: Gas prices in USA

(...) Hi, Here (France) the price of gasoline is about $6.5 $/gallon (1.40 euros/l) and raising. I have a 45-50 miles (74 km) commute from home to the office (quite the same situation for my wife). To answer to Allister, I have to say the government (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Gas prices in USA

(...) The government is not responsible for your commuting choices. Low petrol prices are not a right, and they're not likely to get lower no matter how much gets pumped out of the ground. If you're not prepared to pay the market price, your only (...) (19 years ago, 1-Sep-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Gas prices in USA

(...) You're not alone in that regard, alas. Gas prices in my area have jumped $.32 in the last 32 hours, and I expect another bump overnight. That's hardly an increase of 100%, but it still stinks mightily! Unfortunately, oil supply isn't the (...) (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Gas prices in USA

The price of gasoline here in the States has been too [@#$%&*] high all during Bush II's reign, and now (thanks to H. Katrina) they're getting higher! I've heard that Gov. Perdue (GA) has ordered gas stations to close tonight at 4:30pm here in (...) (19 years ago, 31-Aug-05, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: LEGO Factory Terms Of Service

(...) And I agreed that the statement was valid. It was the wording I had a problem with. (...) Had it been worded like above I would have had no problem with it at all, and would have looked the topic up or asked about it. As it was you said "Is (...)
