  Re: Intellectual Property Question

snip (...) I am pretty sure I read that the "CD-like disks" can be made into CDs by using a magic marker and coloring in the data track. Theres a couple million bucks of development down the toilet.   Re: Intellectual Property Question

Tom: I suppose you realize you could just download these two songs, right? The RIAA has specifically targeted uploaders, not downloaders. The theory is that it is possible to have a need, not unlike you own, that might make downloading a song a (...) (21 years ago, 27-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  Re: Intellectual Property Question

This is a good question, especially since I am in this situation. Before moving from CA to FL, I tried to get my entire 250+ CD collection burned to MP3s, so I could cram them on an Archos to listen to in the moving truck (they totalled more than (...)   Credibility Gap: Wal-Mart's Corporate Welfare

Will break to Wal-Mart really pay?   Re: Intellectual Property Question

Yeah, those are all good questions... Capitalism is dead too, though. I have given it long and serious thought and there's a very good reason that Roddenberry never really investigated the economy of the future in Star Trek -- the main thing is that (...)   CA Recall Election Comments

I wrote this last night... ~~~...~~~ Huffington is a smart lady, but after tonight's debate I am finding her a little shallow and divisive.   Re: The Blood of Patriots & Tyrants (was Re: Sticking my gun...etc.)

(...) You need to do a cost benefit analysis here. Even one homicide or accidental death is undeniably tragic, but death, in the long run, is not preventable. Everyone dies of something some time.
