Re: A letter to the Editor

(...) Well, at the end of the day (figuratively) that is between you and God and none of my business, or so I believe. (...) Ok then. I suppose I owe you partial credit, as I might not have read alot of Thomas Jefferson's stuff without you having (...) (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: A letter to the Editor

Well, I guess according to you I'm gonna burn in hell many times over -- but I agreed with most of it anyway. -- Hop-Frog (21 years ago, 5-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

  A letter to the Editor

The Backround: For the past 3 weeks the local paper I get, has been printing letters from people who were very dismayed over the strides toward legalizeing Gay marriages and other "sexually deviant" behavior. They were calling it "UnAmerican" and (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: It must be just me...

(...) I don't have much time for elaborate conspiracy theories, but something has occurred to me in all of this. Democrats have approved all but a tiny handful of Dubya's judicial appointees, and Republicans are howling about the few who've been (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

  Re: Castle World is dead.

What’s wrong with those of you who think you’re entitled to Castle World TM. _It doesn't belong to you!!! It was created by a group of old-skool Lugnetters, and it’s their baby. If you don’t like it…too bad. Create your own Castle World type (...) (21 years ago, 4-Sep-03, to lugnet.castle.org.cw, lugnet.castle, lugnet.off-topic.debate, lugnet.general, lugnet.people)

Re: Lord of the Rings is actually a drug turf war story!

(...) usually terribly serious. The ideas behind critical theory are serious, but not often the uses to which they are put. Plus, while some of the points are very valid, some of it is a stretch. I think they have the political background more or (...) (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Lord of the Rings is actually a drug turf war story!

So this piece, purportedly an interview transcript, seems to suggest (URL) just leave it to the astute readership here to decide if this is a serious piece or not. (21 years ago, 2-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: "CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD" CONTEST

In lugnet.build.contests, Larry Pieniazek wrote: snip!!! Bother. The last thing in this thread I responded to had FUT set to o-t.debate even though it was rather innocuous, it dealt with contest logistics. So, said my brain to myself, must be the (...)   Re: "CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD" CONTEST

(...) Depends on the contest budget, I suppose. A really high budget contest would fly all the finalists out and they could rebuild their MOCs on arrival. (this one isn't that high budget, given that finalists get 250 as their prize) Another (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: "CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD" CONTEST

In lugnet.off-topic.debate, David Gregory wrote: <snip> (...) Er, isn't that a more reasonable expectation than asking people to travel to St. Louis to rebuild their MOC that has been shaken apart in transit? As one who has transported many MOCs to (...)   Re: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!

(...) I don't know! First you think I've offended LEGO Australia so much with my attitude that they won't assist with events, and now you think I can read their minds? (...) Approaches for assitance! Did you not read the (URL) post>? Here, let me (...) (21 years ago, 1-Sep-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: 25 things we know now...

(...) Well, at least I'm proud that I'm an American...though I don't (or won't) trust our government one bit. That evaporated a long time ago... (URL) (21 years ago, 31-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: "CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD" CONTEST

Re: "CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD" CONTEST

(...) I don't think there's any getting around the fact that Christmas is a religious holiday. I know that there are lots of other holidays that many people celebrate around the winter solstice. However, Christmas happens to be one of the (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: "CHRISTMAS THROUGH THE EYES OF A CHILD" CONTEST

(...) Well, it SORT of is a religious holiday. Not everyone that celebrates at that time of year (winter solstice) does so for religious reasons. We don't. Also I don't think Terry was objecting per se, just saying he didn't plan to participate in (...) (21 years ago, 30-Aug-03, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.off-topic.debate)

Re: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!

Re: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!

Here goes: In the past, Australians have approached LEGO Australia to support the public (...) (21 years ago, 29-Aug-03, to lugnet.off-topic.debate, FTX)

Re: "What Will You Make?" Event Kits!
